Hey Kids, I’m BACK!
Well, that was quite the hiatus. But I have some good news. Although I haven’t made plans for a halfie in the near future, I’m back on the road. I wanted to wait to post until I made it a week only one day off - and guess what? I did it.
Last Saturday, I kicked it off with a 7-mile walk around Eden Prairie with the Fiance’s roommate. And Sunday, we followed up with a 3 1/2-mile walk.
Monday, I took it to the treadmill at the apartment and ran for 25 minutes. Then I did a weight-lifting routine (short but sweet) and ended with some abdominals.
Tuesday was the big day. I ran for 20 minutes on the treadmill and got extremely tired (I realize I’m out of shape). So I slowed it down to a fast walk, grabbed 2 5-lb weights and walked for 15 minutes. Then I ran for 10 more minutes with 2 2-lb weights. Not wanting to go back upstairs just yet, I did a weight routine and then did some abs as well. Of course, finishing the workout was easy because I was watching the Series Finale of The Hills… So I was down there for an hour and a half because I couldn’t peel myself away from the telly.
Wednesday I had a volleyball game and we had to play 5 v 6 because our team was down one of our girls and couldn’t get a sub.
Thursday was the day off.
Today I started out doing a Jillian Michaels kickboxing cardio, but after 10 minutes I got bored. So I decided to run outside. At 3:15 pm… Kind of a bad idea. I ran for about 2 1/2 miles but was sooo dehydrated at the end of it that I decided instead of continuing, I would stop and go inside.
But at least I did something.
And that was the last 7 days! Back on the wagon again!
